Luís Paulo Santos obtained a PhD in Computer Engineering in 2001, from Universidade do Minho, addressing Scheduling and Parallel Computing. Since then his research interests focused on Parallel Processing and High Fidelity Interactive Rendering. He has lectured several courses at undergraduate, Master and PhD levels on Computer Architecture, Parallel Processing and Computer Graphics, with a special emphasis in rendering and ray tracing. HE has published several papers in international conferences on interactive rendering, organized several conferences on Parallel Graphics and Cultural Heritage, acted as a member and chair of several international program committees and is the organization chair for VS-GAMES 2010, the IEEE International Conference in Games and Virtual Worlds for Serious Applications.
